The SDAC Guest Lectures provides a space for our students to familiarize themselves with cutting-edge research and current debates in various disciplines of relevance for our program. Themes depend on the speakers’ work but broadly include questions pertaining to decision-making, freedom, agency, and culture. In addition to purely “academic” talks, the format also includes contributions from speakers engaging in applied work at the intersections of academia and scholarly informed practice.
Important Note
Several guest lecturers are invited in individual seminars each semester. Their names and the topics of their talks are announced in advance. Students are encouraged to attend regularly these guest lectures even if they do not normally attend the concerned seminar.
Please contact Prof. Dr. Jean-Baptiste Pettier for inquiries.
