I can’t really believe that we have already completed one year of studying at the SDAC program! My first year has been intense in so many ways. Living in a different country than your own can be challenging but at the same time filled with many enriching experiences. In my case, I can say that the best part was to have the opportunity to meet fellow students who quickly became true friends and who constantly taught me valuable things from their perspectives that I keep now in my heart.
The lectures have been super interesting. I love to study from a multidisciplinary approach so diverse topics such as culture, decision-making processes, gender perspective, foreknowledge in traditional Chinese culture, and much more. Every day we have learned something new. I am always looking forward to our discussion after and during our classes since our different backgrounds enrich the conversations.
It is also important to note that the small group of students creates a fruitful and cozy environment, where it is much easier to learn and interchange knowledge and experiences.
I especially enjoyed our trip to Vienna and Berchtesgaden, where we shared plenty of good memories, learned a lot during our tours, and had so much fun all together. For me the visit to the UN headquarters was a dream come true.
After one year of studying at the SDAC, I can say that I gained new knowledge, skills, friends, and life-lasting memories.
