On Wednesday, January 15th of 2025, from 12:15 to 15.00 CET, Dr. Ferdiansyah Thajib’s course on What is Southeast Asia hosts Oleg Vasilchenko M.A‘s guest lecture.

Oleg Vasilchenko is a doctoral researcher at the Chair for Social and Cultural Anthropology at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and a member of the International Max Planck Research School “Global Multiplicities: A Social Anthropology for the Now.” Drawing on legal anthropology, the anthropology of technology, and socio-legal studies, his work critically examines how the technologization—and, more specifically, the digitization—of judicial practices influences everyday life and reshapes power relations between judicial institutions, citizens, and non-citizens within the broader context of state governance.

The event will take online.
