SDAC Workshop Series Summer Semester 2022: Negotiation Techniques
In the framework of the SDAC workshop series, Klaus Schneider, Dipl.-Pol. and Andreas Beneking, M. A. (Planpolitik Berlin), offered a workshop on negotiation techniques on July 22nd and 23rd, 2022.
Students participated in the educational simulation game “Conflict over water in South Calipso”, which is a fictional adaptation of conflicts over water resources in Central Asia.
They played respective roles of representatives of 5 countries of the Southern Calipso region and the international organization that moderates the meetings.
This was a wonderful experience to learn how to translate theory into practice and had hands-on experience with negotiation skills for international and intercultural scenarios.
