Design Thinking Workshop
How to provide a smooth start for expatriate employees in Germany?
On Friday, November 15, 2019, students in the Master´s program “Standards of Decision-Making Across Cultures” participated in a workshop on “Design Thinking.”
The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Christian Baccarella, who is a research associate at Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and an expert for “Design Thinking.”
Inspired by the manner in which designers think and act, “Design Thinking” has emerged as an innovative cognitive, strategic, and practical process to creative problem solving in various fields. During the workshop, the students went through the entire creative process from identifying needs, developing ideas, and building prototypes to provide solutions that might support expats in their cultural transition to Germany. The workshop concluded with a final presentation of the different projects and was very well received.
